Responsibilities
- Design parts in 3D CAD that meet load conditions and durability requirements.
- Build prototypes to test assembly and range of motion.
- Generate accurate 2D drawings using GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Collaborate with the GSM team to select suppliers and order parts.
- Inspect first articles and build test stands.
- Provide continuous support for parts on robot development platforms.
- Maintain clean documentation for design processes.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Biomechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a similar field.
- Expertise in 3D CAD software for designing complex parts.
- Experience in designing and building prototypes.
- Knowledge of simulation and analysis methodologies (FEA, MATLAB, etc.).
- Experience with electromechanical integration (sensors, motors, etc.).
- Bonus: Experience with high volume manufacturing processes and CATIA V6.
