Responsibilities
- Design packaging systems and shipping enclosures for the humanoid robot and accessories using 3D CAD.
- Translate industrial design goals into functional packaging structures meeting various requirements.
- Architect multi-material packaging solutions optimized for strength and sustainability.
- Build and iterate physical prototypes to evaluate assembly flow and retail unboxing experience.
- Execute packaging tests in collaboration with manufacturers.
- Develop fixtures and test jigs for structural performance characterization.
- Generate accurate 2D drawings and create packaging documentation.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or related fields.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Science, or similar.
- Expert-level proficiency in 3D CAD.
- Familiarity with simulation tools and packaging-specific analysis workflows.
- Hands-on experience with building mockups and performing mechanical tests.
- Bonus qualifications include experience with high-volume packaging manufacturing and CATIA V6 experience.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices related to packaging.
