Responsibilities
- Design hardware specifications for AI models and algorithms.
- Define strategies for model partitioning and mapping across compute fabrics.
- Maintain canonical reference implementations in frameworks like JAX and PyTorch.
- Project performance using simulators and modeling tools before silicon development.
- Collaborate with SDK and silicon teams to ensure alignment between models and hardware execution.
- Analyze and optimize AI models for specific hardware constraints.
- Provide insights on telecommunications applications and compiler processes.
Job Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Transformer architectures and their hardware implications.
- Experience with performance modeling and cycle-accurate simulation frameworks.
- Proficiency in JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow, particularly in compilation layers.
- Familiarity with AI applications in telecommunications.
- Understanding of numeric sensitivity in AI models and hardware mapping.
- Ability to work at the intersection of research and silicon development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to hardware-software co-design.
