Low Voltage Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot low voltage systems utilizing wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical to electronic interfaces.
  • Run conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections using wiring diagrams and/or electrical schematics.
  • Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to the supervisor.
  • Work with Engineering and Vendors on new wiring requirements for prototype units and systems.
  • Perform ECM programming and work with Programmable Motion Control cards (PCM cards).
  • Document and diagram wiring when needed for prototype units.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years minimum experience in a low-voltage electrician role preferred.
  • Training in reading electrical schematics is necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting principles and application.
  • Required to read, write, and comprehend English.
  • Moderate physical demand, including lifting up to 30 lbs and climbing.
  • Ability to work independently on wiring and programming engines and power pack systems.
