Responsibilities
- Conduct power system studies and analysis for compliance with NERC and regional reliability standards.
- Perform detailed bulk power system studies using software like PSS/E, PSLF, TSAT, ETAP.
- Conduct IBR modeling, including steady state, short circuit, and dynamic assessments.
- Perform compliance technical assessments on IBR facility ratings and protection coordination.
- Generate and maintain data for engineering studies.
- Prepare technical study reports for all conducted studies.
- Ensure timely project completion while meeting quality and budget objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering with a focus on electric power systems.
- 2-3 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
- Experience in power system impact studies such as Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
- Proficiency with power systems software like PSS/E, PSCAD, TSAT.
- Experience in automating/programming with Python.
- Strong commitment to project quality and deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (10% or less).
