Responsibilities
- Perform power system impact studies: Steady State, Short Circuit, and Dynamic Stability.
- Conduct NERC-compliance-related technical analyses such as TPL Annual Planning Assessments.
- Execute full generator interconnection studies, including Sub-Synchronous Resonance (SSR) studies.
- Ensure renewable/storage resource projects meet Voltage Ride-Through (VRT) requirements.
- Participate in ERCOT working group meetings and case building efforts.
- Prepare technical study reports and maintain data for all studies.
- Manage project timelines and ensure quality and budget objectives are met.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on power systems.
- 2-4 years of experience as a power systems engineer.
- Experience with power system impact studies and related software (PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, TARA).
- Proficiency in automating/programming in Python.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to change.
- High standards in producing quality reports and products.
