Responsibilities
- Develop replacement strategies for protective relay and control assets within Transmission and Distribution substations.
- Manage maintenance and testing programs for protection systems in compliance with NERC standards.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of urgent trouble events affecting customers.
- Interface with industrial and commercial customers for equipment planning and upgrades.
- Update the Work Management System with asset changes and manage work orders.
- Mentor less experienced engineers in scope development and maintenance practices.
- Support restoration activities associated with power outages due to storms.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience or 7 years and a Professional Engineer License.
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in electric utility substations (preferred).
- Professional Engineer License (PA preferred).
- Leadership experience.
- Familiarity with ANSI/IEEE Standards and experience with Doble RTS and Powerbase.
