Responsibilities
- Plan, engineer, design, maintain, and prepare estimates for distribution projects.
- Perform technical calculations related to pole loading, cable pulling, and transformer loading.
- Consult with superiors and peers to gather necessary design and cost information.
- Act as a Project Manager for assigned projects, working closely with Distribution Designers.
- Ensure engineering designs meet Duquesne Light and NESC Standards.
- Review material and cost estimates provided by Distribution Designers.
- Attend customer project site meetings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
- Familiarity with engineering codes such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, and IEEE.
- Ability to perform desk and field work, requiring a valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying types and complexities of work.
- Willingness to participate in storm roles as needed.
