Responsibilities
- Plan, engineer, design, maintain, and prepare estimates and specifications for distribution projects.
- Perform pole loading, cable pulling, and transformer loading calculations.
- Consult with superiors and peers to gather necessary design and cost information.
- Act as a Project Manager for assigned projects while collaborating with Distribution Designers.
- Ensure engineering designs meet Duquesne Light and NESC Standards.
- Attend customer project site meetings.
- Become knowledgeable in NEC and NESC standards for overhead and underground distribution design.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
- Entry-level position with no prior experience required.
- Valid driver’s license for travel to various company locations.
- Flexibility to adjust to varying types and complexities of work.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (combination of home, office, and field work).
- Willingness to serve in storm roles as needed.
