Responsibilities
- Evaluate and interpret Protection Engineering relay and equipment protection recommendations.
- Create and execute plans for isolation, removal, and installation of substation equipment.
- Function test schemes for correctness using field-marked prints.
- Collaborate with employees to test protective equipment and produce test reports.
- Document, review, and archive test results from protective devices.
- Perform GPS synchronized end-to-end testing of protection schemes.
- Enforce and review testing methodology and results.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- Two or more years of progressive and relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred additional certifications like PE or EIT/FE.
- Experience working in both field and office settings preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
