Responsibilities
- Plan, engineer, design, and create drawings for engineering projects associated with substation equipment.
- Perform technical studies and calculations, assisting with the preparation of reports.
- Ensure compliance with Duquesne Light Company standards and applicable codes (NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE).
- Consult with superiors, peers, and vendors for necessary design and cost information.
- Act as project lead for assigned projects as required.
- Oversee work of Engineering contractors for outsourced projects.
- Participate in the DLC Storm Team as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with substation engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of current design standards (IEEE, NEC, NESC).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Time management skills.
