CAE Engineer (Aerospace & Defense)

Responsibilities

  • Build and analyze FE models of vehicle structures for aerospace and automotive applications.
  • Apply advanced FE/CAE methodologies to address complex multi-physics problems.
  • Present technical analysis summaries and reports at meetings.
  • Create and execute new technical solutions for aerospace structures.
  • Collaborate with the DAPS Product Engineering team and other disciplines.
  • Implement cost reduction methods and product improvements.
  • Support prototype and production build activities.

Job Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • 0-2 years of experience in aerospace/automotive structural analysis or equivalent.
  • Experience with analysis software packages such as Nastran, Optistruct, ABAQUS, or LS-Dyna.
  • Strong foundation in solid mechanics and understanding of advanced materials.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of industry experience in non-linear and durability analyses.
  • Proficient with Altair Hypermesh or Beta CAE ANSA preprocessors is a plus.
