The Medium Voltage Power Engineer at Delta Electronics will support the pre-sales engineering and design process for utility-scale microgrids, focusing on integrating natural gas generators, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and Photovoltaic (PV) technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and system engineering teams to understand customer requirements and develop optimized technical solutions.
- Lead the preparation of technical proposals for microgrid projects incorporating BESS, PV, and generator systems.
- Specify and design medium voltage electrical equipment such as transformers and switchgear.
- Engage with suppliers to develop customized solutions integrating medium voltage components.
- Assess grid interconnection requirements and ensure compliance with standards.
- Develop preliminary single-line diagrams and system configurations for projects.
- Provide technical support during system commissioning and performance optimization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with utility-scale medium voltage systems.
- Strong communication skills and experience in customer-facing technical roles.
- Working knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., UL9540, IEEE 1547).
- Proficiency with design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD and ETAP.
- Familiarity with power quality monitoring and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience performing electrical studies and system modeling.
