Responsibilities
- Design structures and mechanisms for the robot and its ancillary devices.
- Procure hardware and design tooling necessary for the implementation of designs.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to integrate GNC requirements with vehicle hardware.
- Participate actively in the hiring process for additional mechanical engineers.
Job Requirements
- Experience with hardware design, fabrication, and assembly.
- Knowledge in mechanical analysis and Finite Element Method (FEM/FEA).
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, CATIA, Siemens NX).
- Ability to start full-time as soon as possible.
- 2-5 years of work experience in mechanical engineering or relevant practical experience on a student build team.
- A 4-year degree in engineering or equivalent, or a senior on track to graduate in May/June 2024.
