Responsibilities
- Investigate laser-material interactions to develop process parameters for laser-based manufacturing.
- Set up laser materials processing stations and adjust optics as needed.
- Program motion stages and laser scanners for application trials.
- Design experiments to explore complex processing parameters.
- Analyze results through microscopy and mechanical/electrical testing.
- Document experiments and organize findings for team presentation.
- Interact with customers and coworkers to discuss application results.
Job Requirements
- Education in relevant fields such as Optics, Electrical Engineering, or Materials Science.
- Relevant coursework or experience in lasers and optics is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Experience with mechanical design software and machining techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with laser operation and optical design is a plus.
