Electrical Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Electrical Engineering team with low-level software development and manufacturing electrical testing.
  • Performing virtual optical analysis of lamps and regulatory test points, along with physical verification of cameras and lights.
  • Leading focused projects such as analyzing haptic feedback curves across Multifunction Handles (MFHs) and joystick product families.
  • Gathering and synthesizing field trial feedback on touch encoders and shifter handles for refinement and validation.
  • Reviewing application requirements, defining motors or actuators, integrating them into machines, and conducting performance testing.
  • Contributing to lab improvement projects, including building repeatable test benches and increasing data logging capabilities.
  • Fabricating, testing, calibrating, and troubleshooting electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components, subsystems, and systems.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Agriculture Engineering.
  • Experience with C++, Linux embedded systems, PCB design, EMC, and Board Support Packages is helpful.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional engineering environment.
