Responsibilities
- Oversee hardware architecture and system definition for existing and next-generation products.
- Lead the transition to high-volume operations, targeting deployment of 100+ robots.
- Partner with Contract Manufacturers and manage the global supply chain to reduce costs and improve lead times.
- Collaborate with Heads of Software, Autonomy, and Application Engineering for hardware-software integration.
- Implement DFM and DFA standards for reliability in kitchen environments.
- Mentor and manage a team of mechanical engineers and manufacturing technicians.
- Define and execute the hardware strategy to achieve enterprise-level performance.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of hardware engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in transitioning products from low-volume to high-volume manufacturing.
- Expertise in mechatronics, motion control, and ruggedized system design.
- Experience managing complex BOMs and achieving cost reductions while maintaining quality.
- Nice-to-haves include experience in food-tech or industrial automation and knowledge of regulatory certifications.
- Background in a high-growth startup environment is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
