Responsibilities
- Design and build space structures and thermal systems for satellite communication systems.
- Collaborate with engineers on product development.
- Engage in the design of conduction-cooled packaging, deployable structures, and lightweight composite space structures.
- Participate in testing and manufacturing processes.
- Present work to peers, mentors, and executive leadership.
- Work on assignments based on project availability and personal interests.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal formats.
Job Requirements
- Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Upper-level coursework in structures and heat transfer.
- Experience with mechanical FEA tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with electronics assemblies (preferred).
- Experience with CNC manufacturing (preferred).
