Responsibilities
- Design and validate automation systems for drug discovery screening.
- Deploy NGS capabilities for primary screening and execute screening campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Head of Research and Molecular Biology Team to deliver results from validation to meta-analysis.
- Establish new methodologies and deploy wetware and hardware for screening.
- Operate and integrate labware using Python coding.
- Conduct molecular biology laboratory techniques, including PCR and assay development.
- Analyze data using graphing software and maintain attention to detail in laboratory work.
Job Requirements
- PhD with at least 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience in synthetic biology or related field.
- Experience with automation, especially using Hamilton equipment.
- Knowledge of NGS library preparation and Illumina sequencer operation.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques and directed evolution methods.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work.
