Mechatronics Engineering Intern

The Mechatronics Engineering Intern will contribute to the creation of robotics systems at Bright Machines, focusing on validating and improving solutions in industrial automation. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering practices and collaboration with team members.

• Investigate new designs and prototype systems in the Robotics Lab.
• Evaluate technical feasibility of designs.
• Design, execute, and document test plans for software and hardware validation.
• Collaborate with team members to improve automation solutions.
• Apply engineering practices to develop next-generation manufacturing automation.
• Utilize programming and applied math skills in projects.
• Communicate findings and results through data analysis and visualizations.

• Pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in data interpretation and visualization.
• Programming experience (e.g., Python, Matlab, C++, Structured Text).
• Examples of problem-solving projects.
• Basic knowledge of motion planning and controls.
• Experience with mechanical design/build and metrology.
