Responsibilities
- Drive 0-1 mechanical designs that preserve optical engineering & industrial design intents.
- Work with multi-functional teams to improve existing prototypes for optimization and manufacturing.
- Provide solutions and challenge norms with a problem-solving mindset.
- Design systems for low & high-volume production scenarios.
- Document best practices, SOPs, and maintain a library of proven designs.
- Conduct product risk assessments and develop validation plans.
- Define Quality Control plans for suppliers and manufacturers.
Job Requirements
- Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's with 3+ years of experience in mechanical system design.
- High expertise in 3D CAD software (Onshape, Creo, CATIA, NX, Solidworks).
- 2+ years of experience working with mass production products.
- Expertise in surface modeling and DFM analysis.
- Experience in various manufacturing techniques (injection molding, die casting, etc.).
- Supplier communication and management experience.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
