Responsibilities
- Work with a multi-disciplinary team through product development and manufacturing phases.
- Identify and solve challenging mechanical engineering problems by creating functional prototypes and new technologies.
- Evaluate design options through computer modeling and physical prototype evaluation.
- Draft mechanical specifications, verification and validation plans, and execute verification testing.
- Complete detailed design in collaboration with manufacturing partners.
- Support designs and documentation through manufacturing startup and ongoing engineering.
- Communicate with local/global teams and vendor base.
Job Requirements
- Strong problem-solving experience in mechanical design and development of high-volume consumer products.
- Experience with various materials including molded plastics, elastomers, aluminum, and steel.
- Ability to collaborate with Industrial Designers and UX teams for exceptional product design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and familiarity with tools like NX and SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience in evaluating and testing design prototypes.
- Knowledge of product data management systems and change notices, preferably using Windchill.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 3-7 years of relevant experience.
