Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and configuration tasks for satellite systems.
- Conduct layout and mass properties analyses.
- Support procurement of materials and components.
- Identify necessary processes, tests, and manufacturing tools for spacecraft structures.
- Work to subsystem schedule and deliverables.
- Develop structural models for mechanical design performance predictions.
- Support structural qualification testing on spacecraft systems and components.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD package.
- 1-2 years of hands-on fabrication experience.
- Familiarity with mechanical design of spacecraft.
- Preferred: 1-3 years of experience with mechanical design.
- Ability to design, develop, implement, and test structural systems.
- Demonstrate clear communication and organizational skills.
