Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and configuration tasks for satellite systems
- Conduct layout and mass properties analyses
- Support procurement of materials and components
- Identify necessary processes, tests, and manufacturing tools
- Develop first-order structural models for mechanical design performance
- Support structural qualification testing on spacecraft systems
- Document and troubleshoot discrepancies in mechanical designs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 1-5 years of experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD package
- 1-2 years of hands-on fabrication experience
- Familiarity with mechanical design of spacecraft
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience with mechanical design
- Ability to design and test structural systems and mechanism designs
- Clear communication and organizational skills
