Responsibilities
- Oversee a team of engineers, suppliers, and facility personnel in the technical development, integration, and test of a large-scale complex mechanical and fluid system test facility.
- Serve as the Deputy Chief Engineer accountable for technical integrity and safety.
- Provide leadership to drive integration, resolve technical issues, and address requirements issues.
- Ensure technical baseline control and support technical oversight and direction.
- Identify technical risks and ensure they are driven to resolution.
- Chair the Engineering Change Board, Project Technical Reviews, and Safety Review Board.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at all organization levels.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 5+ years of experience leading a multi-disciplined engineering team.
- 5+ years of experience in technical design, development, integration, and testing of complex mechanical and fluid systems.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving issue resolution and mitigating technical risk.
- Familiarity with ASME Piping Codes and Standards is preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Experience working with product/component developers and vendors.
