Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, develop, and test primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic parts.
- Participate in the entire design cycle of flight hardware, from conceptual design to qualification testing.
- Generate component and assembly drawings, and interface control documents using GD&T.
- Create documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware.
- Support subsystem level testing, including planning, execution, and data analysis.
- Apply practical approaches to hardware fabrication and manage supplier relationships.
- Quickly design and produce proof-of-concept hardware for research and development projects.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of technical experience in aerospace or equivalent mechanical/structural systems.
- Experience in component modeling and structural analysis.
- Knowledge of material selection, manufacturing techniques, and integration testing.
- Strong mechanical design skills using 3D modeling and simulation tools (CREO preferred).
- Proficient in GD&T analysis and performing tolerance stacks.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
