Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and develop primary and secondary structures for aerospace applications.
- Participate in the entire design cycle of flight hardware, including conceptual and detailed design, structural analysis, and testing.
- Generate component and assembly drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Create documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware.
- Support configuration development and trade studies.
- Apply practical approaches to hardware fabrication and cost impacts.
- Work collaboratively within a small, agile team to adapt to shifting priorities.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in designing aerospace mechanical/structural systems.
- Proficient in component modeling and structural analysis.
- Knowledge of material selection, compatibility, and manufacturing techniques.
- Strong skills in mechanical design using 3D modeling tools (CREO preferred).
- Experience with GD&T analysis and tolerance stacks.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
