Responsibilities
- Design, analysis, development, and testing of primary and secondary structures.
- Take ownership of the full lifecycle of hardware from requirements definition to integration onto a launch vehicle.
- Perform research, develop concepts, and run trade studies.
- Develop 3D models, detail part drawings, and interface control documents.
- Provide manufacturing and production support for hardware.
- Build test plans, specifications, and documentation for flight hardware development.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct tests while reviewing test data.
Job Requirements
- Minimum B.S. degree in engineering.
- 2+ years of experience with automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures.
- Strong mechanical design and integration skills using 3D CAD software.
- Familiarity with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
- Experience with structural design of composite and metallic components.
- Ability to apply structural mechanics principles using hand calculations and finite element analysis.
- Knowledge of design and fabrication considerations for composite structures.
