Responsibilities

  • Solve static and dynamic structural problems using analytical methods.
  • Measure and interpret acceleration, shock, and vibration data from tests.
  • Model, simulate, and verify spacecraft launch and landing events.
  • Develop and validate Finite Element Models.
  • Conduct general loads development for spacecraft and ground systems.
  • Support configuration development and trade studies.
  • Utilize tools such as Femap, NASTRAN, and Matlab effectively.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural dynamics and finite element modeling.
  • Strong foundation in structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
  • Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development.
  • Proficiency in physics-based analytical methods and tools.
  • Experience with spacecraft and launch vehicle loads development preferred.
  • Familiarity with Nastran, Hyperworks, and other relevant software tools.
