Responsibilities
- Solve static and dynamic structural problems using analytical methods.
- Measure and interpret acceleration, shock, and vibration data from tests.
- Model, simulate, and verify spacecraft launch and landing events.
- Develop and validate Finite Element Models.
- Conduct general loads development for spacecraft and ground systems.
- Support configuration development and trade studies.
- Utilize tools such as Femap, NASTRAN, and Matlab effectively.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in structural dynamics and finite element modeling.
- Strong foundation in structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
- Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development.
- Proficiency in physics-based analytical methods and tools.
- Experience with spacecraft and launch vehicle loads development preferred.
- Familiarity with Nastran, Hyperworks, and other relevant software tools.
