Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes and tooling for launch vehicle structures.
  • Drive vertical integration initiatives to improve cost efficiency and design agility.
  • Collaborate with design engineering and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and reliability.
  • Participate in Design Gated Reviews focusing on Design for Manufacturability and Design for Testability.
  • Develop tooling concepts for aerospace hardware, considering ergonomics and safety.
  • Introduce advanced manufacturing techniques into production workflows.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement on manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or tooling design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and assembly.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling development and automated assembly solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
