Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and tooling concepts for launch vehicle structures.
  • Identify opportunities for vertical integration to improve cost efficiency and design agility.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams for manufacturability and reliability.
  • Participate in Design Gated Reviews to incorporate DFM and DFT principles.
  • Develop tooling concepts considering ergonomics, safety, and maintainability.
  • Introduce advanced manufacturing techniques into workflows.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement on manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or tooling design.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and additive manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with tooling development and fixture design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
