Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and tooling concepts for launch vehicle structures.
- Identify opportunities for vertical integration to improve cost efficiency and design agility.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams for manufacturability and reliability.
- Participate in Design Gated Reviews to incorporate DFM and DFT principles.
- Develop tooling concepts considering ergonomics, safety, and maintainability.
- Introduce advanced manufacturing techniques into workflows.
- Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement on manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or tooling design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes like machining, welding, and additive manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with tooling development and fixture design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
