Responsibilities
- Lead a team in the development of new avionics designs.
- Oversee existing avionics designs on the New Glenn launch vehicle.
- Manage Electrical Power Systems and Guidance, Navigation, and Control Systems.
- Collaborate with the Avionics Architect to enhance avionics cost and weight efficiency.
- Interface with Supply Chain for avionics requirements.
- Ensure adherence to safety and mission-critical system standards.
- Respond to evolving requirements and external constraints in avionics development.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
- 20+ years of experience in avionics systems and systems engineering.
- Proven leadership in managing engineering teams.
- Experience with fault-tolerance strategies for safety-critical systems.
- Knowledge of avionics, propulsion, fluids, and control systems.
- Familiarity with the product life cycle from design to field support.
- Experience with U.S. Government research agencies (e.g., NASA, USSF).
