Responsibilities
- Design mechanisms for space flight, including landing gear and docking systems.
- Participate in the entire design cycle of flight hardware.
- Create documentation for assembly and testing of hardware.
- Conduct subsystem level testing and manage suppliers.
- Develop non-flight proof of concept hardware for research projects.
- Collaborate with a team to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Utilize engineering judgment to ensure project success.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in aerospace or equivalent mechanical systems.
- Strong mechanical design and analysis skills using 3D modeling tools.
- Experience with GD&T analysis and tolerance stacks.
- Preference for Systems Engineering experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and qualification testing.
- Proficient in technical writing and communication.
