Responsibilities
- Serve as group representative for piping and tubing systems analysis for launch complex ground support equipment.
- Create and maintain piping analyses throughout the design lifecycle.
- Perform detailed checks of existing analyses and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Ensure designs meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Support detailed stress/FEA and fluid flow analyses of piping systems.
- Guide others in the use of piping analysis tools and review analyses created by others.
- Interpret P&IDs and fabrication/installation drawings for piping systems.
Job Requirements
- Four-year aerospace or mechanical engineering degree (or similar).
- At least five years of experience in a technical engineering role.
- Extensive experience with piping stress analyses and Bentley AutoPipe.
- Experience with ASME B31.3 design criteria for stress analysis piping systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of fluid components typical in tubing and piping systems.
- Experience with structural hand calculations and analysis software tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN, etc.).
