Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliverables related to piping and tubing systems analysis for ground support equipment and test facilities.
- Create and maintain piping analyses throughout the design lifecycle.
- Perform detailed checks (peer reviews) of existing analyses and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure designs meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Support other analyses of piping systems with structural/piping details as needed.
- Guide others in the use of piping analysis tools and review analyses created by others.
- Utilize ASME B31.3 design criteria for stress analysis of piping systems.
Job Requirements
- Four-year aerospace or mechanical engineering degree (or similar discipline).
- At least five years of experience in a technical engineering role.
- Extensive experience with piping stress analyses and Bentley AutoPipe.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel for analysis.
- Knowledge of standard components and methods for piping systems.
- Experience interpreting P&IDs and fabrication/installation drawings.
- Familiarity with structural hand calculations and analysis software tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN, etc.).
