Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on system safety and process hazards analysis.
  • Draft and review procedures for operation of pad systems.
  • Coordinate with third parties on cost, schedule, and technical requirements for maintaining and operating pad mechanical equipment.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of new or modified mechanical systems.
  • Author and run commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with teams of varied skill sets to operate and maintain a world-class launch site.
  • Provide input on cost, schedule, and technical requirements to internal customers.

Job Requirements

  • Four-year aerospace or mechanical engineering degree (or similar discipline).
  • Less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with solid modeling or plant modeling, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and configuration control of engineering and documentation.
  • Knowledge of standard components, installation, and fabrication methods of piping systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams composed of multiple roles and disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting mechanical and/or piping systems (desired).
  • Experience with creating process hazards analyses and formal risk evaluation (desired).
