Responsibilities
- Design and analyze mechanisms for next-generation umbilical systems.
- Participate in the entire design cycle of umbilical mechanisms.
- Generate 3-D models, kinematic simulations, and component drawings.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis for mechanical assemblies.
- Participate in subsystem level testing and documentation.
- Develop component specifications and manage suppliers.
- Collaborate within a small, agile team to mature umbilical systems.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace mechanical systems design.
- Experience with mechanisms such as latches and actuators.
- Strong skills in mechanical design and analysis using 3D modeling tools.
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
- Working knowledge of mechanism loads analysis and manufacturing processes.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
