Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for assigned subsystems, independently resolve technical challenges.
- Own and deliver mechanical design solutions for large mechanical systems/mechanisms.
- Independently perform and review FEA and hand-calcs for complex mechanical systems.
- Manage external design and fabrication partners through complete project lifecycle.
- Oversee equipment fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing & activation.
- Ensure compliance with ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Analyze mechanical systems under dynamic loading conditions including vibration, shock, and fatigue.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplines.
- 7+ years experience with design/analysis/construction of large and complex mechanical systems.
- Experience leading mechanical designs from concept through commissioning.
- Proficiency in mechanical design using CAD tools.
- Experience in mechanical analysis using FEA tools.
- Familiarity with heavy duty mechanism design.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
