Responsibilities
- Design production, development, test, integration, and advanced manufacturing tooling and equipment.
- Integrate mechanical design and analysis concepts across multiple projects.
- Interpret and apply design and drafting standards (ASME Y14.5) for creating drawings.
- Address technical design challenges related to assembly fixtures and custom machines.
- Collaborate closely with component designers and manufacturing engineers.
- Manage projects including vendor selection and equipment commissioning.
- Set and maintain project schedules and budgets for completion.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in design and commissioning of tooling and fixtures.
- Experience with FEM and complex structural analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software for modeling and drafting.
- Strong expertise in design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Understanding of common manufacturing materials and processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and custom machine design.
