Responsibilities
- Design production, development, test, integration, and advanced manufacturing tooling and equipment.
- Integrate mechanical design and analysis concepts across various projects.
- Interpret and apply design and drafting standards.
- Address technical design challenges related to assembly fixtures and custom machines.
- Collaborate with component designers and manufacturing engineers for optimal outcomes.
- Manage projects from vendor selection to commissioning of custom tooling.
- Implement and maintain schedules and budgets for project completion.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in design, build, and commissioning of tooling and fixtures.
- Experience with FEM and complex structural analysis.
- Proficient in CAD-based design software.
- Expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Understanding of manufacturing materials and processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and custom machine design is a plus.
