Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and test mechanisms hardware including parts and assemblies.
- Create 3D models, detail drawings, and interface control documents.
- Provide manufacturing support for hardware.
- Offer technical guidance for integration processes.
- Conduct configuration development and trade studies.
- Develop test plans and specifications for flight hardware.
- Participate in subsystem testing and data analysis.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with mechanisms or structures in aerospace.
- Strong mechanical design skills using 3D CAD software.
- Familiarity with DC motors and geartrain selection.
- Experience with structural design and material selection.
- Knowledge of GD&T analysis.
- Ability to apply structural mechanics principles and perform finite element analysis.
