Responsibilities
- Lead the conception, detailed mechanical design, and analysis of large deployable structures for space.
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
- Design and select mechanical components for durability under launch and in-space conditions.
- Prototype and test concepts, driving rapid iteration in a development context.
- Define and perform mechanical analyses to ensure successful deployment and stability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless integration and performance.
- Document designs and analyses in accordance with aerospace standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
- Expertise in CAD modeling and structural analysis.
- Experience with deployment mechanisms for space environments.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing hardware.
- Proficiency in mechanical analyses like FEA and kinematics.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
