Manufacturing Engineer (Mid-Level)

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing work instructions for composites fabrication, inspection, trimming, and assembly.
  • Manage quality, build sequence, and schedule of hardware throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Review engineering drawings and provide final approval for manufacturing.
  • Define and support repair and rework activities.
  • Perform root cause analyses for non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree.
  • Prioritize hardware procurement and fabrication, communicating these priorities to the team.

Job Requirements

  • Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, or similar (3+ Level II Engineer, 5+ Level III Engineer, 8+ Sr Level Engineer).
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
  • Strong written and technical skills (CAD, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to manage a manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) and author work instructions.
  • Experience with industry quality systems such as AS9100.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E & CATIA preferred).
