Responsibilities
- Design assembly fixtures/tools, handling carts, transport containers, and TVAC mounts for solar products.
- Develop deployment test rigs with instrumentation and safety interlocks.
- Design/develop grippers for fragile panel transfers.
- Own designs from cradle-to-grave optimizing safety, cost, quality, and reliability.
- Integrate PLC/HMI and basic robotics/vision for semi-automated stations.
- Perform fixture FEA for stiffness/stability and tolerance/alignment analysis.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing on process windows and in-process inspection.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering/Manufacturing; 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in designing fixtures and handling equipment.
- Basic PLC/HMI integration and robotics/vision exposure.
- Proficiency in CAD and technical drawing creation.
- Fixture FEA experience; knowledge of GD&T.
- Understanding of contamination control, ESD, ergonomics, and safety.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a cross-disciplinary environment.
