Responsibilities
- Create architecture and detailed designs for lunar transportation components.
- Develop CAD models, detailed drawings, and manufacturing processes for composites and pressure vessels.
- Execute test plans for COPV qualification and acceptance, including testing and data analysis.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors for COPV design and manage those relationships.
- Support integration of COPVs on vehicles and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct research and analysis to implement design improvements for COPVs.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all engineering processes.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with structures in automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
- Proficiency in mechanical design using CAD software such as ProEngineer, Creo, NX, or Catia.
- Experience with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5).
- Strong mechanical design and integration skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with pressure vessel design for high pressures.
