Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and deploy automated manufacturing systems, including robotic cells and PLC controlled equipment.
- Lead the installation, commissioning, and validation of automation equipment on the factory floor.
- Develop and debug programs for PLCs and industrial robots.
- Design and implement custom tooling and material handling systems for automation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams during New Product Introduction to optimize designs for automation.
- Provide ongoing support to improve automated processes and troubleshoot equipment.
- Perform risk assessments and implement safety systems for automated equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation/controls engineering.
- Experience in developing and commissioning robotic workcells or PLC controlled machines.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs and industrial robots.
- Experience with CAD software for designing electrical schematics or mechanical tooling.
- Preferred experience in aerospace, semiconductor, automotive, or electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and high-level programming languages.
