Responsibilities

  • Develop SOFC materials related to powder metallurgy and/or hermetic glass sealing.
  • Perform material and part characterization.
  • Analyze and summarize results to communicate project milestone statuses.
  • Work within the Bloom system for creating work orders and material requests.
  • Support engineering efforts to reach manufacturing volume and quality targets.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s (4th year) or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science.
  • Must be graduating between spring 2026 and summer 2027.
  • Hands-on hardware and/or lab experience skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Statistical analysis skills are a plus (JMP, Excel).
  • Computer Programming language skills are a plus (Excel VBA, Python).
  • Strong self-starter and team player with a can-do attitude.
