The Modeling Engineering Intern will participate in the design and development of Bloom Energy's products, focusing on thermal and CFD modeling of fuel cell systems. This 10-week internship is fully on-site and aims to guide product development through simulations and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design/development of the product.
  • Perform thermal/CFD modeling of various components.
  • Analyze data from tests for thermal management.
  • Create detailed reports to present modeling results to cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

  • Currently earning or recently graduated with a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027.
  • Above average GPA (3.5 or higher) in graduate program.
  • Strong fundamentals in heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience with at least one CFD tool like Fluent, Icepak, or Star-CCM.
  • Demonstrable experience with a complete CFD analysis project.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
