Responsibilities
- Develop equipment, fixtures, and processes for prototype builds and high-volume production.
- Determine and procure necessary equipment for manufacturing processes.
- Manage suppliers through the design and installation of manufacturing equipment.
- Design efficient production workstation layouts to enhance product flow and efficiency.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to improve processes.
- Create detailed manufacturing instructions and documentation for technicians.
- Collaborate with product design teams to ensure manufacturability at cost and scale.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer.
- Experience with 2D CAD tools (AutoCAD) and 3D design software (SolidWorks or CATIA).
- Familiarity with conveyance, workstation design, and automated systems.
- Knowledge of GD&T and system stack-up analysis.
- Experience creating technical specifications for automated equipment.
- Strong background in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Automation (DFA).
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
