Responsibilities
- Develop equipment, fixtures, and processes for prototype builds and high-volume production.
- Determine and procure necessary equipment for manufacturing processes.
- Manage suppliers through specification, design, buyoff, and installation of manufacturing equipment.
- Design efficient production workstation layouts to enhance product flow and efficiency.
- Provide DFM (design for manufacturability) input to improve processes and yield outcomes.
- Create detailed manufacturing instructions and documentation for technicians.
- Conduct process analysis, DOE, PFMEA, line balancing, and capacity modeling/simulation.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical/Manufacturing/Design Engineer.
- Experience with 2D CAD tools (AutoCAD) and 3D design software (SolidWorks or CATIA).
- Familiarity with conveyance, workstation design, robotic systems, and automated functional testing.
- Knowledge of GD&T and system stack-up analysis.
- Ability to create technical specifications for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Experience providing DFM and Automation (DFA).
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
