Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for fusion experiments.
- Collaborate with physicists and engineers to develop experimental electrical systems.
- Specify, procure, assemble, and test electrical hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware systems using various test equipment.
- Implement grounding, shielding, and filtering strategies for reliable measurements.
- Support experiment operation by maintaining measurement systems and diagnostics.
- Contribute to the improvement of electrical practices and documentation.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree or higher in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical or instrumentation engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and troubleshooting hardware systems.
- Experience with analog and mixed-signal systems.
- Familiarity with sensors and transducers in experimental environments.
- Ability to identify and mitigate measurement noise and grounding issues.
- Comfort working directly with physical hardware in a lab environment.
