Responsibilities
- Manage and cultivate a high-performing leadership team.
- Own the node hardware architecture, including mechanism selection and structural design.
- Drive hardware requirements and error budgets for precision and reliability.
- Lead the design and industrialization of motion subsystems and in-situ metrology.
- Establish rigorous design processes and engineering change control.
- Develop prototype-to-production pipelines in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering.
- Drive reliability engineering and test strategies for hardware nodes.
Job Requirements
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in developing complex robotics or advanced manufacturing systems.
- Proven track record of shipping multiple hardware systems to production.
- Deep expertise in precision mechanism design and error budgeting.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and design for manufacturability.
- Experience with sensors and actuators integration.
- Strong reliability and failure analysis skills in production environments.
