Responsibilities
- Drive technical team execution for rover systems including power, control, and communication.
- Recruit, lead, and mentor engineers and analysts, fostering autonomy and growth.
- Develop and manage budgets and operational risks to meet business objectives.
- Formulate program and technical strategies, deciding on outsourcing versus in-house development.
- Facilitate concurrent engineering across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Guide the team through technical and programmatic milestone reviews.
- Communicate complex technical subjects to various audiences effectively.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM from an accredited institution.
- 7+ years of experience in space system development in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in delivering spaceflight hardware through the full design life cycle.
- Understanding of failure modes of spaceflight electrical components.
- Strong knowledge of radiation effects on spaceflight electronics.
- Experience with design programs like Altium or E3.
- Familiarity with environmental testing implications for electrical design.
