Responsibilities
- Build, mentor, and lead a team of structural engineers.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of structural engineering activities.
- Establish and improve structural engineering processes and standards.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding of new structural engineering talent.
- Demonstrate ownership of structural product outcomes throughout development.
- Manage structural hardware lifecycle from design to on-orbit operation.
- Perform and oversee testing and validation of structural hardware.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical structural design and testing.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and advanced FEA software packages.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis principles and fatigue analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods for aerospace structures.
- Ability to lead and manage technical teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
