Responsibilities
- Support mechanical engineering development of Applied Vehicles.
- Contribute to the mechanical design of the external sensor suite, compute assembly, and vehicle interiors.
- Perform structural and thermal analysis of mechanical designs.
- Own the design, analysis, and validation of systems from component to fully integrated vehicle levels.
- Design with a focus on scalability and manufacturability.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure mechanical designs meet organizational needs.
- Execute testing and evaluation of sensors like cameras, radars, and lidars.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in designing hardware and shipping products.
- Demonstrated experience in FEA/CAE.
- Experience with hardware reliability and testing.
- Familiarity with CAD (Solidworks preferred) for 3D modeling.
- Experience with automotive repair and maintenance.
- Ability to produce and develop detailed documentation for testing and processes.
