Responsibilities
- Support the mechanical engineering development of Applied Vehicles.
- Contribute to the mechanical design of the external sensor suite, compute assembly, and vehicle interiors.
- Perform structural and thermal analysis of mechanical designs.
- Own the design, analysis, and validation of systems from component to fully integrated vehicle levels.
- Design with a focus on scalability and manufacturability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure requirements and designs meet organizational needs.
- Execute incoming IQC on design hardware including visual inspection and pressure testing.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience designing hardware and shipping products.
- Demonstrated experience in FEA/CAE.
- Experience with hardware reliability and testing.
- CNC, Machining, Metal Working, and Welding experience.
- Familiarity with CAD software (Solidworks preferred).
- Experience with Automotive Repair and Maintenance.
