Responsibilities
- Drive new techniques in simulation and measurement for improved efficiency and accuracy
- Conduct electromagnetic analysis of various geometrical structures (FEA)
- Aid in risk assessments and co-existence analysis
- Rigorously document designs and key parameters
- Use analytic tools for basic sizing, weight, and system performance
- Utilize specialized thermal simulation software
- Validate designs through experimental measurement and correlation to simulations
Job Requirements
- Background in electromagnetics and familiarity with Maxwell’s equations
- Experience with COMSOL and/or Maxwell FEA simulation tools
- Familiarity with multi-physics models for predicting electrical and thermal performance
- BS degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
- Preferred familiarity with common lab equipment and thermal simulation software
- Experience in mathematical, computational, and numerical modeling
- Understanding of the physics of magnetic materials and heat transfer
