Responsibilities
- Collaborate with reliability engineering teams to facilitate operational readiness for product ramp-up.
- Drive cross-functional focus on reliability issues and partner with Failure Analysis engineers.
- Act as the gatekeeper for reliability risk during production, making data-driven recommendations.
- Lead Ongoing Reliability Testing (ORT) to scale validated prototypes into full production.
- Work with sustaining and AppleCare teams to enhance reliability experiences.
- Incorporate lessons learned into future designs by collaborating with reliability and design teams.
- Investigate and implement new testing methods to improve efficiency and detection rates.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in reliability testing, including Mechanical Stress tests and Failure Analysis techniques.
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Materials, Optical, Industrial or similar).
- Strong understanding of material properties and failure analysis methodologies.
- Knowledge of reliability models, accelerated test models, and industry test standards.
- Proficient in DOE and FMEA, with strong statistical and data analytics skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to present to executives and drive cross-functional teams.
